CGo® is a modular system that enables small- and mid-scale distributed biochar producers to be recognised and rewarded for making positive contribution to global climate mitigation. This can significantly increase the value of biochar production by adding global carbon sequestration values to local agronomic or other carbon storage values.   In practice, the cost of monitoring and validating the quality and quantity of biochar production and certifying the carbon value from small and distributed biochar production facilities could outweigh the value attributable to the resulting carbon sequestration.  CGo® addresses this challenge by combining the provision of suitably low-cost biochar pyrolysis units with data capture and analysis using the very latest IT technologies and bespoke carbon certification methodologies as a combined system.
